"Now I'm gonna learn you boys a couple of things about internal bleeding."
As Comic-Con approaches, the first glimpse of The Goon has popped up over at MTV. A distinctive blend of noir, Western, supernatural comedy, it's adapted from Eric Powell's comic for Dark Horse. Adapted by who? That's another matter.
The Goon is voiced by Clancy Brown, and he works for a mob boss, alongside sidekick Franky (voiced by Paul Giamatti). Together they fight off The Priest and his varying zombie hordes. Aside from the vocals, Eric Powell has certainly been involved in making the animated take on his own warped, but the only other name behind the camera is David Fincher. He's on producing duties.
Blur Studios are bringing the movie together, with both Fincher and Giamatti stepping up to the stage for Comic-Con. Expect more details, and more footage, to arrive then. For now, read on for this rather likeable 30 second blast of undead, unhinged fun.
