Promising itself to be the final cut, Saw 3D has launched its theatrical trailer online. Being a horror movie shot in "state of the art 3D", it naturally involves a lot of CGI shots of audiences having things fly out of the screen into their faces. Sadly not much blood, though.
Of course, the final film will be a different matter entirely: bucket-loads of gore and nothing flying out of the screen at you, but probably that same piece of music playing over and over again.
Directed by Kevin Greutert - considered enough of a horror maestro by Lionsgate that they contractually roped him into filming the franchise's 3D outing - Saw VII doesn't look like it'll have much of a plot. Then again, Jigsaw died years ago, so such insignificant details don't really matter. Scripts are boring things written on paper in 2D anyway.
The trailer's online over at Yahoo! Movies, but you can read on for the full video.
