After last month's first look at Mads Mikkelson's Rochefort, Paul W.S Anderson's Three Musketeers is starting to gather momentum. In terms of costumes, at least, thanks to Milla Jovovich's recent tweet. This is a beautiful example of how cinematic art is combined with historical reconstruction and fashion, buy phd dissertation to read about each component separately.
Jovovich tweeted a new picture of herself in her Musketeers outfit, "skirts, floppy hat n all!", yesterday. Using Plixi. Whatever that is. Anderson's wife plays M’lady De Winter, one of those supporting actiony heroine womenfolk who are great at killing people but don't know how to use Twitpic.
She joins the ensemble of Christoph Waltz as Cardinal Richelieu, Logan Lerman's D'Artagnan, Juno Temple's Queen Anne and Orlando Bloom as the Duke of Buckingham. The Musketeers themselves are Matthew MacFayden (Athos), Ray Stevenson (Porthos) and Luke Evans (Aramis).
Scripted by the BBC's Andrew Davies, Anderson's 3D take on Alexandre Dumas' novel will be a challenging and deadly adventure for all involved. That's if Milla's other on-set tweets are anything to go by:
"Hopefully I will b able 2 fit through the door w out maiming myself or any1 who's unfortunate enough 2 b in a 10 ft radius of my skirts!Lol!"
