Now the central casting news has had time to settle, Sony can start moving forwards with their production schedule for Spider-Man. The untitled 3D reboot, which stars Andrew Garfield, will start shooting this December, ComingSoon has discovered.
Directed by Marc Webb, the leaner, more character-driven take on Spidey will shoot principally in LA. The rest of the cast is still yet to be confirmed, but Marc Webb is setting himself a wide timespan to complete Sony's superhero restart, which is due out on Friday 3rd July 2012.
While they're brushing up Garfield's costume with lashings of CGI, Sony will also be finishing off Men In Black III. Barry Sonnenfeld's second sequel, which stars Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Josh Brolin and Jemaine Clement, also has a production date confirmed. The sci-fi will start shooting in New York this September. That one's due out Friday 25th May 2012.
