I was catching me up on some Adam and Joe last night via the casting pods and they kindly brought this amazing clip of Pierce Brosnan in Taffin to my attention. You'll understand why around the 0:20 mark.

 

 

 

 

And yet he was still a better James Bond than Roger Moore.
