If you played a 13 Assassins drinking game (1 drink for a severed limb, 2 drinks for a bow and arrow, 3 for a burning cow) you'd be out cold within a matter of minutes. So rather than risk death by alcohol, here's a less fatal idea: Sing-along-a 13 Assassins.

Now that's out the way, we can start work on the 13 Assassins drinking game.

Have 1 drink whenever...

You see a severed limb

Someone dies  

Someone says something about honour

Have 2 drinks whenever...

A bow and arrow is fired

A corpse is mutilated

Evil Lord Naritsugu smiles in a way that suggests he's demented and/or gay

Have 3 drinks whenever...

Someone sets some cows on fire

A booby trap successfully kills someone (known as "doing a Home Alone")

And finally, have a drink every time there is no fighting on screen for a period of more than three minutes (i.e. the whole first half of the film).

If you can follow that drinking game AND play Sing-along-a 13 Assassins without getting the lyrics wrong, you'll end up a big bloody mess by the morning. Which is probably what Takashi Miike would have wanted in the first place. Hardcore.
