But did they make a mistake in putting Julian Assange on their jury?

Review: Ain't Them Bodies Saints

Rooney Mara is fantastic in this delicate, sun-soaked Western

Ever since I was a boy, I always wondered about voice-overs...

Film review: Wadjda

Every now and then, a film comes along that changes the world. Sometimes, you don't even realise it's doing it.

World War H – or hate’s not all that

What do Shyamalan, World War Z and Man of Steel have in common? Hype - and hate.

Paranormal Activity 2 is out and Saw 3D is imminently upon us - yes, it's Halloween again and rather than list the scariest horror movies or discuss Let Me In vs Let the Right One In (again), I thought we'd go for something a tiny bit different.

As anyone who's every carved a pumpkin knows, it's frickin' difficult to do well, especially if you're aiming for a cinematic likeness. Which is why we've rounded up the best movie pumpkins on the internet to give you some solid inspiration before you start cutting out orange holes. It was either that or kidnap Neil Buchanan and force him to make a Horror Movie Art Attack. And this was far easier.

Death Star - spotted a long time ago in a hotel lobby by Jason Reitman, this fully operational vegetable is a great example of attention to detail, boredom, and a waste of hotel money.

Gremlins - anything orange that has Gizmo on it is clearly made of awesome. And pumpkin.

Ghostbusters - who you gonna call? The person who made this so you can congratulate them. At the moment, this is more exciting than the prospect of Ghostbusters 3.

King Kong - get a load of this flaming yellow monkey. We just need a Godzilla pumpkin to smash it into.

Stormtrooper - there's certainly a Star Wars thing going on here. Which shows you what kind of people carve pumpkins every year: geeks.

Boba Fett - this carving captures the manly muscles of the universe's best bounty hunter. Phwoar.

The Joker - nothing quite says jumping on the bandwagon like something featuring a picture of Heath Ledger as The Joker. But hey, this is healthier than one of those annoying t-shirts.

Where the Wild Things Are - just when you thought Maurice Sendak's story couldn't get any cuter...

Thanks to Maniac Pumpkin Carvers for some images.
