Thor's seriously heating up now with the addition of Kat Dennings to the cast. Yes, the actress known mostly for Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist has hopped aboard the epic adventure, joining a gleaming list of dazzling stars. Marvel must be laughing their faces off.
Other recent additions include Idris Elba, from The Wire, as Heimdall, along with Natalie Portman and Stuart Townsend as one of the Warriors Three. As the ensemble increases in size, with Chris Hemsworth and Anthony Hopkins already signed up as Thor and Odin, it's getting seriously intimidating. God-like in stature, the entire group will be overseen by Kenneth Branagh, in a production that will most likely blow your retinas into smithereens of joy.
With all the casting updates, it still seems daft to even report on the addition of Ms Dennings - there'll only be another person to announce tomorrow. But in the meantime, get your Asgard fix from Eoin Colfer's entry in Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's series, And Another Thing. Occasionally fighting, but mostly drinking, upon the great Rainbow Bridge, I bet Branagh's Thor and Heimdall won't be anything like that...
