Anthony Hopkins could be all set to play Ernest Hemingway, if Andy Garcia gets his way. Andy is currently working on Hemingway and Fuentes, a biopic of the author focussing on his 20 years in Cuba leading up to the 1952 Pullitzer Prize-winning book, The Old Man and the Sea.
Co-written with Hilary, Hemingway's granddaughter, Garcia is hoping to helm the project, providing he gets the money together. Alongside Anthony Hopkins would be Annette Bening as Hemingway's wife number three, Mary Welsh Hemingway. With that line-up and Hemingway's folks involved, expect it around awards season in a few years time.
