How can you make a Coen Brothers film better? Shove in Matt Damon and Josh Brolin, of course. Both A-List actors are in talks to join Jeff Bridges in the remake of John Wayne's True Grit. Jeff, of course, is John Wayne, also called Rooster Cogburn for sakes of characterisation.

His lawman may be joined by Matt Damon as La Beouf, the sidekick who sees Rooster tracks down the killers of his 14 year old niece's father. If Brolin gets on board, he'll go all bad guy as Tom Chaney - a chance to see him do evil is certainly a cause for salivating.

Expect another slice of perfection when this starts shooting around March next year.
