Film review: Wadjda

Every now and then, a film comes along that changes the world. Sometimes, you don't even realise it's doing it.

World War H – or hate’s not all that

What do Shyamalan, World War Z and Man of Steel have in common? Hype - and hate.

Well, it's hardly Hamlet. But David Tennant is switching his Tardis for teacher's robes (once again). But this time, he's not pretending to be human - oh no, this time he's lost his bananas completely. Yes, David Tennant has taken a role in St Trinian's II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.

The short-skirted schoolgirls return (oh joy...) with a gold-focussed theme. Where does David fit in? Well, he's their arch-nemesis, the enigmatic (and misogynistic) Pomfrey - member of the secret woman-hating society called AD1. Joining the cast (which includes Gemma Arterton, Rupert Everett and Colin Firth) is also Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding. And you thought it was bad enough that they were making a sequel. The eight week shoot begins today at Ealing Studios.
