The Incredible Burt Wonderstone still

David Blaine jokes are about 10 years out of date - but that doesn't stop The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, a film that looks rather chucklesome and gets my support mostly for the impressively bouffant wigs adorning the heads of Jim Carrey, Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi.


It looks like a Will Ferrell film without Will Ferrell, but if that's a chance for Jim Carrey to return to comedy in a film that doesn't involve CGI penguins, who knows? 30 Rock director Don Scardino might be the guy to pull a rabbit out of the hat - or he might be the guy to produce an American version of the Mitchell and Webb comedy Magicians. And we all know how that turned out.
