One of these days, someone will make a trailer for something that doesn't feature Coldplay's Paradise. But I saw this new Life of Pi trailer in front of Taken 2 last week and it was easily the highlight of the evening.

"A Life of Adventure", proclaims the titles."A life of Hope". You can see where they're heading. But accompanied by the sweeping tones of Coldplay's earworm, it's genuinely affecting stuff. And those Lovely Bones visuals I was worried about before? They still look a little syrupy for my tastes, but I'm prepared to add another 's' word into the mix: stunning.

Life of Pi is out in UK cinemas on Friday 20th December. And judging by this and the new Life of Pi poster? Ang Lee might actually have something here.
