There are lots of people who aren't going to want to see this, but those who don't mind watching a Super 8 clip can rest assured: these 6 minutes are excellent.


It's a nice introduction to the young cast and the period vibe, and gives a pretty good indication of their acting abilities. And there's a streak of Spielberg/Amblin-style emotion running through it the size of E.T.'s forehead.


But if you don't want the impact of JJ Abrams' CGI ruined, consider this a word of warning and a spoiler alert: there's a massive lens flare within the first 8 seconds.


Super 8 is out in the UK on Friday 5th August - a little too long after the Americans get to see it. Read on for the clip or head this way to re-watch the Super 8 trailer.
