Ever since 5nal Destination was sadly rejected, Paramount have been wary of using the same old digit-based format for Mission: Impossible 4's title. But it looks like they have a new name for the film: The Mission.
Following on from The Final Destination, the franchise will be using its new name to reboot the whole series after Mission: Impossible 3 didn't meet Paramount's box office predictions (apparently $397m wasn't good enough). Fortunately for fans, Tom Cruise tweeted the change of title:
"MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4 UPDATE: Skydance Productions & Paramount Pictures join forces for “The Mission!"
Brad Bird's IMF outing co-stars Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Paula Patton, and will most likely see Ethan Hunt pass his spy baton over to Renner's younger agent. He'll then presumably go on to star in his own sequel, The Mission 2. Not that that title sounds any better than Mission: 4mpossible.
