Just after the mildly enjoyable Whatever Works disappointed die-hard Woody Allen fans, along comes a short bright video for his next piece - yes, the trailer for You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger has turned up online.

With laid-back voiceover man reprising his Vicky Cristina Barcelona role, it's a typical Allen tableaux of failed couples and deluded human beings, all of whom will soon start cheating on each other to sleep with everyone else. As for the point-and-laugh philosophical joke of the day? This time it's the turn of psychics and mediums - an easy but fair target.

Still, it's not an unpromising blend of acting talent, with Josh Brolin taking on the usual Woody Allen character. He's joined by Naomi Watts, Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Freida Pinto - not a bad bunch of folks to have existential and emotional breakdowns on-screen.
