First there was Jaws. Then there was Shark 3: Megalodon. Now, the waters are turning red again with another outing for our finned friends. David R Ellis has jumped aboard the vehicle with glee. Yes, from the Second Unit Guy on Deep Blue Sea, and the director of The Final Destination - and Snakes on a Plane - comes SHARK NIGHT 3-D.
Ellis, very much the king of killing folks, in 3-D, with sharks, is ready to rock the cinema boat with a $28m budget from Incentive Filmed Entertainment. There's a script knocking about by Jesse Studenberg and Will Hayes - with a secret plot, possibly involving sharks - but the good news? There's no CGI in these waters. Instead, Deep Blue Sea's Walt Conti will be bringing some animatronic monsters to the party. And yes, that's the guy who made the snake for Anaconda.
Robotic. 3-D. Sharks. Bring it on.
