Every now and then, a film comes along that changes the world. Sometimes, you don't even realise it's doing it.

World War H – or hate’s not all that

What do Shyamalan, World War Z and Man of Steel have in common? Hype - and hate.

Malkovich Joins Transformers 3?! Print E-mail

Well, I didn't see it coming. You didn't either. But it's definitely true: Transformers 3, from acclaimed director Michael Bay, will star none other than John Malkovich. John. Malkovich.

Yes, ickle Shia LaBeouf will be hired by Malkovich in the third entry in the Transformers franchise. But that's not the only quality bit of indie casting going on, because Frances McDormand has also signed on to play the movie's National Intelligence Director.

McDormand and Malkovich? Now Bay's really pulling some punches. He's certainly shown taste before by having Coen regular John Turturro on his books for the first two Transformers outings, but he seems to have got a taste for oddball talent. Alongside Megan Fox (yep, she's back again) and - of course - the Massive Giant CGI Robots, can McDormand and Malkovich raise the bar here? After the first couple of films, anything approaching "good' would be a massive step up.
