Following Simon Pegg's Twitter announcement yesterday, the cast for John Landis' Burke and Hare has now been officially confirmed. The tweet's deleted now, but it told the world who David Tennant's replacement would be after he dropped out of the film: "A legend of Middle Earth and Skull Island". But that was too obvious for us - Andy Serkis - and for the studio too. So they did a China and wiped it.

Now, though, they've confirmed (thanks to The Hollywood Reporter) that not only has Andy Serkis joined the team, but Tom Wilkinson and Isla Fisher have too. Pegg and Serkis are Burke and Hare, 19th Century grave-robbers who sell corpses to science, with Fisher playing Burke's girlfriend. Wilkinson will be the flesh-hungry scientist, Dr Robert Knox.
