James Franco is down to lead Danny Boyle's next project, 127 Hours. At least, that's what Production Weekly tweeted yesterday. On Twitter. Franco's talented and charismatic enough to take on the role of Aron Ralston, the climber who lost his right arm after hanging off a cliff for ages back in 2003. But his recent trend of comedy parts may come to an abrupt end when his fans see him on screen. After all, he does have to hack his own arm off.
With Boyle and Simon Beaufoy knocking up the script this very minute, this tense and inspirational true tale is set to stun a good many people. Including old uncle Oscar, if Franco plays his cards right. Which might be hard, what with only having one arm and all. Shooting starts in the sun-scorched Utah in March.
