It's not a superhero movie. It's a Shane Black movie with superheroes in it. And that makes it awesome.

Damsels in Distress Trailer - Better Therapy than Tap Dancing? Print E-mail

"Tap dancing is a very effective therapy!" declares Greta Gerwig in the trailer for Whit Stillman's campus comedy, Damsels in Distress. I won't disagree. (Note: I won't disagree with anything Greta Gerwig says. Ever.)

The movie, which premiered in the UK as the London Film Festival's Surprise Film, is a so-hipster-it-hurts affair, full of doughnuts, dance sequences and Adam Brody. But when that blend of doughnuts, dance sequences and Adam Brody involves Greta Gerwig - and a very funny script - it just about works.

But watch out. If anyone asks you to watch the trailer, it's a typical playboy or operator move.
